PSA Meeting - Wednesday 27th October

We are having PSA Meeting at the Dalriada on Wednesday 3rd October at 7.30 to start planning the Halloween Discos (Saturday 27th October) and other events. 

We are looking for someone to co-ordinate the Discos and volunteers to help on the evening with games, tuck shop, music, the door and crowd control. These events are great fun for the children and we can't run them without you! Please come along on Wednesday or get in touch with us if you can spare any time on the afternoon/evening of the 27th.

PSA AGM - Tuesday 25th September

Welcome back to Towerbank Primary and the Parent Staff Association (PSA).

Now the children are settled in their classes, we need to turn our minds to raising much needed funds to help enrich our childrens everyday school experience.

The PSA AGM is on Tuesday 25th September at 7.30 pm in the main school.

Please join us to help discuss our fundraising plans for 2012-2013. Even if you can't attend our meetings, there are other ways of supporting the PSA, by attending or helping out at fundraising events, donating prizes, home baking or simply by shopping online through easyfundraising.

PSA Dates and Events 2012-13

Dear All

As we are finding it difficult to pinpoint a date for a PSA Meeting before the end of term, we have decided to send out this email inviting all our supporters to help us plan our fundraising events for 2012-13, hopefully coming up with some fresh new ideas and also to give us feedback on the events we have held this year. We are delighted to have raised over £6,600 since last August, most of which has been ringfenced for the fantastic new Wild Garden. We hope you will agree this is already looking amazing and will continue to provide a green haven for the children while the playground is being churned up for the new extension!

We are also looking for volunteers to come forward and help us organise these events and share the load a wee bit. This would not mean having to do it all on your own, which we know can be very daunting! You could work in pairs or gather a small team of friends to help you and we would provide support and plenty of volunteers to assist on the day! Please get in touch if you would like to give it a go!

As well as our usual school fairs and the popular discos, we have already had suggestions for a Pampered Chef evening after the Summer holidays, a Quiz Night, another Wine Tasting Event and a Christmas Raffle.

If you are free next Wednesday Evening at 7.30, please come to the Dalriada for a mid-week drink and help us plan the Summer Discos for P1-4. Everyone is welcome!

Towerbank Spring Fair

Just to remind you, the Spring Fair is on Saturday 28th April, 2-4pm and should be a great event for all!


Whether you have helped out at a PSA event before or would like to give it a go for the first time, we are looking for volunteers to help with teas and coffees, waffles and ice-cream, crafts, games, Busker's Corner, the home baking stall, toy stall, tombola, face painting, setting up and clearing up afterwards.


We are also looking for donations of tombola prizes, used toys and books, second-hand uniform in good condition and home baking which can be brought to school on Friday 27th April.

Just to remind you, the next PSA Meeting is on Wednesday 21st March 7.30pm at the Dalriada where we will be planning for next term's Spring Fair and Summer Disco/Film Night amongst other things.

BIG BOOK SALE NEWS!

Dear All

A BIG thank you to everyone who helped out with the Big Book Sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, sorting books, setting up, selling books, serving teas and coffees and tidying up at the end and also to everyone who donated books and home baking.

All the effort paid off and we made a very healthy £694 for the school!

Just to remind you, our next PSA Meeting is on Wednesday 21st March, 7.30pm at the Dalriada and we will be planning for the Spring Fair and other Summer Term Events.

We hope you will be able to join us.

Big Book Sale

Towerbank PSA are holding a Big Book Sale on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th February 
We need your books!

Please donate good used books any time from Mon 30^th Jan to Thurs 2^nd Feb at the school office. All sorts of books for children and adults are welcome. The Camp Fundraising Group will also be collecting your used DVDs and computer games to sell.

Donations of home baking are also very welcome (muffins, fairy cakes, cookies etc) to sell with tea and coffee during the book sale. Please bring to the school office on Friday 3^rd February.

The sale will be lots of fun for all the family!

We will be planning our next fundraising event: the Big Book Sale to be held at the school on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th February and gathering ideas for the next PSA Newsletter due to go out in school bags shortly after the half term break.
